With Heart in Los Angeles: Dr. Simi Foundation and SíMiPlaneta Bring Relief to Those Affected

The Dr. Simi Foundation and SíMiPlaneta activated a brigade to rescue dogs and cats left homeless by the devastating fires in Los Angeles, California. The donation consisted of food, transport cages, beds, edible treats, and cat litter. The shelters benefited were Belle's Boarding in Los Angeles; Feed Pet Love in West Hollywood; Santa Monica Animal Shelter and Wellnes Foundation in Marina del Rey. In addition to this support, Dr. Simi also brought essential items to people evacuated from their homes.
The arrival of Mexico's most beloved doctor brought a moment of joy to the victims sheltered at the Westwood Recreation Center in Los Angeles, temporarily operated by the Red Cross. Families interacted with Dr. Simi and received about half a ton of hygiene products including baby diapers, feminine towels, hydrating drinks, toothpaste, toothbrushes, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, granola bars, peanut butter snacks, and bath soap. According to local authorities, more than 16,000 hectares burned, with 24 deaths and over 5,000 structures destroyed. Firefighters and emergency brigades from various locations joined forces to combat the flames, and in that effort, Simibombero visited station number 3 in Santa Monica to deliver hydrating drinks, granola bars, and snacks to the personnel fighting the fire.
Last year, Climate Central reported that in the United States, wildfire seasons have lengthened and intensified due to climate change increasing the likelihood of droughts conducive to fire. To mitigate these natural phenomena, SíMiPlaneta installed a Life Bomb factory intended to produce 3,000 in the first stage—a method to reforest areas of difficult access degraded by events such as the Los Angeles fires.
Helping is living.
